posted in Internet marketing, Blogging
As we opened our emails this morning we experienced a first here at Half a Bubble Out – our first negative blog comment. Not just negative – hostile, harsh, rude, ignorant, irrational, ridiculous – are other words that come to mind. So we of course had to share these internet marketing tips with you about how we responded.
To give some brief context, one of our company owners, Kathryn, wrote a blog post last week about how she disagreed with a commercial for the Cadillac ELR because it essentially proclaims that the achievements and greatness of America rests in the fact that we don’t take time off, and if we do, it diminishes our earning potential. Read the blog and see the commercial here: The Makers of the Cadillac ELR Commercial and I Simply Disagree.

Most sites over complicate their explanation of how to add keywords to a website, this blog explains how to use keywords for your business blog and website without the headache.
First lets demystify adding keywords by debunking a few myths...
Myth #1: Only SEO Specialists Can Add Keywords to a Website
It’s crazy how many spammy emails we get each day.
Each morning when I come to work and open my email I seem to have a handful of spammy, unlovable emails filling my inbox. Mind you, being an email marketing consultant, I can’t bring myself to just dump them into my trash bin. I am actually curious to how the subject line got through, what the return email address is, how the email displays in my email window, how many highlighted or bold words are used, and all the other nerdy stuff that email marketing consultants find fascinating (fist bump to all you who feel me).
Inbound Marketing, Creativity and the Power of Rest

For months now here at Half a Bubble Out we have been writing and posting blogs about a wide variety of inbound marketing and SEO concepts; from how to create the best landing pages to what makes a good website, how to add keywords to your website, and a host of other topics. Every week each person in our office gets assigned a topic from the core areas we have committed to writing about, and every week we are responsible for coming up with a helpful, informative blog post about that topic. We are huge believers in blogging and have seen the fruit of it in our business. Having said that, if you look at the authors over the past several weeks, you will note that I have been woefully remiss in contributing my allotted blog posts on any regular basis.

Many pieces overlap or are intertwined and natural connections are made.
The best landing pages are like a love story. There is a type of romancing that must be done to introduce, persuade, gain trust, and make your customer fall in love with the idea of whatever you wish they would do. There are no guarantees, and a landing page isn’t the only date you will have with a customer, but it should make an impression, and in the very least make some sparks fly.

I learned something about myself watching the Super Bowl last weekend. It wasn’t a brand new revelation, but it was a deeper understanding of something that resides in my DNA.
