Building out buyer personas

Not only with inbound marketing, but also with any marketing in general it’s important to have your ideal customer built out in the means of a buyer persona. If you have an idea of what your buyer personas are you will be able to better target them, resulting in more targeted website traffic from the people you actually want to be there. Targeted keywords

By focusing on certain keywords, especially long tail keywords, you will be targeting a certain audience, one that you are focusing on and want to come to your website more than others. Doing this will ensure that your website traffic is also more targeted and only brings in the type of leads you really want, weeding out all of the others before they even come to your website. Why waste their time and why waste yours, right?

Blogging 

Inbound marketing focuses a lot on blogging. Why? Well, because blogging will help you to get more targeted website traffic because your blogs will be focused to a certain persona, just like your keywords. When your visitor reads your blog, they will either want to move on through the funnel or decide your business or service is not for them. Blogging is a great way to get warm potential leads to your site and then weed them out through the funnel until they are really hot ones. Woo! Who doesn’t love a really hot lead?

Plus, with a consistent blog you are constantly updating your website with new information. This will keep your website visitors coming back to read more, especially if they subscribe.

Using social media to engage and promote content

When you are marketing a business or service on social media, the people that care about you or want to know more will follow you. This is a great place to engage with potential leads that are already showing interest in what you do. By engaging and interacting with them, as well as sharing valuable content, they are more likely to visit your website.

Keeping in touch with email marketing

Nurturing your relationship with leads will help to bring them back to your website.
