Okay, we all get a TON of email in our inboxes and emails from travel agencies and airlines advertising their incredible deals. I am the person who ritually selects and deletes these every morning unless I’m feeling desperate to get away.
My inbox this morning, however, got quite a treat. Apparently JetBlue is trying to clean up its email database so it only includes people who really want the emails, and below is the email they sent.
The Subject Line was “Breaking up is hard to do” which is what caused me to pause and read it to begin with, but then came the true gem: the creative writing and simple but elegant graphics that accompanied the plea for my business. I just have to share it with you:
So congratulations to JetBlue today for this email marketing campaign. It has all the elements of a great campaign:
- Catchy subject line
- Simple, clean graphics
- Creative text that makes you glad you are reading it
- A clear call-to-action for what they want from me.
They get my business today and I look forward to what they will send me in the future, even though they have lots of baggage and their heads are in the clouds!
