question_comment_bubblesIs your business looking for the best way to buy SEO services? Maybe you have done your research and know the ins and outs of good search engine optimization. Or maybe you don’t know very much about it or even where to start. SEO doesn’t exist in a bubble as a stand-alone item, so ask yourself these questions to get an idea of how prepared you are to hire out SEO services.

Here's What to Ask Before You Buy SEO Services:

Do I have a content creation plan?

Depending on the size of your company, a content creation plan will look different. Regardless of whether you have a content team of 12 or you’re the only one writing, a plan is essential. The benefit of this is that it will allow you to create the content necessary for SEO and to keep churning it out frequently so that you have relevance.

Am I blogging regularly?

In terms of content, blogging is one of the best ways to get your message out there. Keep in mind the 80/20 rule that says your content should be 80% about what your audience wants and 20% about your business specifically. So when you start blogging, blog about stuff you know your audience is interested in. And blog regularly.

Do I have a good website?

You can’t do a lot online without having a website presence. Your site should be set up well and easy to navigate. This is great for visitors and just as great for SEO rankings. Remember, search engines will crawl your site and know if there are broken links or if navigation is confusing or impossible. Having a good site set up is a foundational step, and while you can certainly edit the content portions of your site as you go, the basic structure needs to be sound and in place.

Am I on social media?

Social media not only helps bring in links, but to an extent social media factors (such as likes and shares) are now a consideration for search engines when ranking a site. It has become somewhat of an indicator of “buzz” for a site. Regardless of how much this factors into SEO, you also want to be sharing your content and social media is one of the best ways to do that.

Do I know my target audience?

This step is last on this list, but not last in importance. Most people running a business have an idea of their target audience, but not everyone has taken the time to sit down and really analyze details about the demographics they are targeting.

This is important because as you go to select keywords that you will place on your site, and what content to talk about in your blog, it could be very different depending on age, occupation, gender, and many other factors. It's always a good idea to know your target audience well!
