DIY Social Media Management Services Your Business Can Use

June 25, 2015 / by Raquel Royers

social_media_management_servicesDo you want to be able to schedule and manage all of your social media accounts from one location? You’re in luck! There are tools that allow for you to manage everything from one platform instead of moving back and forth between Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. Ultimately this will save you SO much time and money!

Also, if you’re looking to do it yourself and not hire an agency, these are some cheap, if not free social media management services that you can work on yourself.

Buffer

Buffer offers a free subscription but limits you to the amount of posts that go out daily. If you have a small business, this is perfect for your social media management tool. Buffer allows you to schedule social posts and view analytics on how your posts did. It’s a pretty simple platform that doesn’t go into too much detail. If you are new to using social media management services, this is a great place to start.

Buffer posts to the following platforms:

  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • LinkedIn

HootSuite

HootSuite offers a free subscription where you are able to link 3 social profiles. You are able to use the dashboard where you can schedule out social posts. Analytics are also available, however they won’t be very robust. You will also be able to search and monitor what your customer, competition and industry influencers are talking about.

HootSuite posts up to 35 different platforms depending on your plan:

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • LinkedIn
  • Google+
  • FourSquare
  • And many more

Sprout Social

Sprout Social allows you to connect multiple social media accounts where you can then find engagement opportunities, publish messages and measure your performance through analytics. One particularly neat feature is that you can assign and manage social tasks by routing it to the appropriate member of your team. Sprout Social does not offer a free subscription, their lowest plan is $59 per month.

Sprout Social posts to the following platforms:

  • Twitter
  • LinkedIn
  • Facebook
  • Google+

TweetDeck

TweetDeck is a social media management service that is specifically used for your Twitter accounts. You can schedule, organize and build custom timelines. If you need to closely watch a stream of certain keywords, hashtags or trending ideas, this service would be good for you. TweetDeck is free!

Facebook

If you are just looking for a way to schedule posts within Facebook, it can be done straight from the platform itself. Scheduling posts helps to save time, be more organized and have a social media strategy. Plus, scheduling directly in Facebook is really easy and is a great option if you don’t want to use another software, or pay money.

Ultimately, for social media management services we suggest using HubSpot, however we know it’s not feasible for every business, which is why we have provided you with this list of free options that you can use on your own! However, if you try them out and they aren’t quite what you were expecting, you’re not getting the results you hoped, you want someone to manage the accounts for you, or all of the above, we can help!
