Is your business on Facebook? It should be! Facebook is a great social media platform to gain leads for your business due to its personal and conversational nature. This blog will highlight four lead generation techniques that can be used on Facebook to help enhance your business.

1. Include Links Back to Your Website
Facebook is a great place to link back to your website, offers and/or blog content; however, this is a lead generation technique that you don’t want to overdo. People don’t want to be spammed or feel like they are getting automated posts. Make each one different; switching between plain text statuses, pictures, videos and link previews. Every post you have on your Facebook does not need to include a link. That would be overkill. Find a good balance!
2. Engage Customers
Facebook is the perfect place to be engaging with your customers. Those customers that are more engaged are more likely to become leads. However, to have engaged “fans” you must also be engaged and keep up on managing your page. When someone asks a question, posts a comment or makes a complaint make sure to take note and respond.
3. Advertise to Your Target Audience
In my opinion, Facebook is one of the best places to advertise your business. Bold statement, I know. Promoted posts on Facebook are a great lead generation technique because they allow for you to target a specific demographic to ensure that you are reaching those who you really want to see your post instead of hoping they see it. As a business I would encourage you to at least once, try promoting a post or your page on Facebook. Once you see the results you will never want to stop. That’s the hard part!

4. Build/Nurture Relationships
Make sure to not make every post about generating a lead. Did I really say that? Yes, yes I did. Facebook is all about connecting with your customers and potential customers. If you are constantly advertising something to them they will get frustrated and start thinking of you as “spam” or something they just continue to scroll over in their newsfeed. Be the post that makes them stop scrolling.
They want to connect with you personally as well. So, this is where you post content that is fun such as news pertaining to the general industry you’re in, something light hearted or funny or recognizing your employees or customers. The ideas are endless, just be creative! Strive to stand out from the rest.
