Internet Marketing Tips: Secrets of a Killer Blog Post [Infographic]

March 25, 2014 / by Guest Blogger

One of the things that many bloggers struggle with is creating that killer content that will help them to really connect with their audience. It doesn't matter how great a writer you are or how much you know about your niche, if you cannot engage the reader then your blog post will ultimately be unsuccessful!

The key is to create high quality content that will capture your audience's attention, answer their questions and basically give them some knowledge that they did not have prior to reading your blog post. This is the type of content that your readers will be prompted to comment on and to share with their friends. This helps to establish you as an authority in your particular niche.

So how can you create this type of content?

That is exactly the focus of the following infographic "Secrets of a Killer Blog Post: Content." A number of great tips and tricks are shared including plenty of advice related to choosing an appropriate topic. One of the great suggestions offered is to spend some time hanging out with your audience wherever it is that they would be likely to spend time. This could mean participating in chats on Twitter, joining Google+ circles and LinkedIn groups, or even joining active forums in your niche. This will allow you to see exactly what your target audience is discussing and what gets them excited. Once you have this information you can explore some of the potential problems that they may be facing in terms of that particular topic and think about how you could solve those problems through a well crafted blog post.

This strategy applies to both original content and curated content. While it is not advisable to publish duplicate content, offering curated content including videos, infographics and statistics can be a great way to add some fresh content to your blog without having to create something original. During your research as described above, you may come across complaints about a lack of information on a particular topic then that would be your cue to curate the relevant case studies or statistics to publish on your blog, thus fulfilling the needs of your audience.
