Johnny Depp (The Pirate) Experiences The Power of How to Add Keywords to A Website

Written by Travis Martin | June 15, 2013

Disclaimer: this blog is about to be as weird and entertaining as the title. If you’re in need of learning how to add keywords to a website told through a very unique story, then hold on to your cargo and All Aboard! the Keyword Pirate Ship with captain Johnny Depp aka The Pirate! Today we sail to a far away island called KeywordLand.

Now the first thing you need to know about KeywordLand is that it is ruled by a king named Google. I know, not the catchiest name, but he owns the whole land and knows everyone in it!

This king has the wisdom to know what all the people in his land are looking for and searching for on their Stone Age computers at any moment. He is so good at what he does that he actually made a tool available for all the small business in his area to check and see what everyone is searching for. He called it, “The Epic Google Keyword Tool”.

Ok rewind two weeks ago…

Here’s the story of why this little caravan sailed away to KeywordLand to start their business ventures in the first place.

Let’s Meet The Crew:

You have JimJack, owner of JimJack Rib Shack. Poe, owner of Poe My Finger Entertainment, and Lee, owner of ClogGone, the best toilet unclogger business in the nation.

They had one mission, to turn their websites into landmarks for global and local traffic. They knew that the only way they could do this was if their website content was keyworded correctly to what the people were searching for in KeywordLand. Thus, they would have to learn how to add keywords to a website.

Fast forward two weeks and one day…

So there they were, sitting around the campfire with their computers searching on this Google Keyword Tool thingy. The first lesson they learned about how to add keywords to a website is to write down words that they felt their customers would be searching for and then plug them into the magical Keyword Tool provided by King Google.

Results!

With a loud cheer, everyone around the dinky campfire jumped around in excitement from what they saw.

They had all received a huge list of words that related to the words they wrote down, a spreadsheet of how many times those words were being searched for, and how hard it would be to rank for them.

“Genius!” One of them shouted. “Brilliant Birdies!” another shouted as they quickly wrote down all the keywords that had low competition and good monthly search volume, with plans to soon add them to their websites.

Meanwhile…

“Bathroom Break Is Over!” Jim Jack shouted to their captain Johnny Deep who was in the bathroom this whole time.

As Johnny Deep (The Pirate) walked over to the group he said, “I need a plumber and when I search for ClogGone on my sleek iPhone I can’t find you anywhere Lee!!” I need a ClogGone agent right now!”

Lee, owner of ClogGone, had a brilliant idea! He quickly keyworded the content on his website with the words he found in the Google Keyword Tool and published it to his server powered by two hamsters.

“Search Again!” Lee said. Johnny, desperate for an unclogged toilet, searched frantically for a plumber in his area and Whap! There it was, a SERP result reading:

Lee’s ClogGone Service and Repair

“We’re the number one service to unclog your toilet. If we’re number 2, You’ll be goin’ in a hole outside you dug by yourself.”

With ecstatic joy, Johnny quickly clicked on the result and called the ClogGone hotline and had a plumber magically appear at his aid. Lee, the owner, was stunned at how a little bit of keyword research and good content writing could help rank him higher on the SERP then he ever had been in the past.

Fast-forward 3 years...

The three amigos now each have an online presence where people are flooding their sites in KeywordLand and gaining business due to their keyword research where they learned how to add keywords to a website.

What They Left Behind

Now I know you’re all sad for the story to end, but don’t worry, they left behind a video documentary of how to add keywords to a website just like them…Here it is.

Before You Leave

One last note from your three favorite marketing men. They told me to tell you that consistent blog writing partnered with good keywords is how they managed to get a next door mansion aka ranking next to King Google. I guess the research paid off.

Happy, Keywording!
