grow_your_business_arrow_481256619Do you want to be known as the absolutely best there is when it comes to your industry? Do you want to not only be the best but really hook your customers, peak their interests and fascinate them with your business service or product? You hear over and over again that you need to be unique to stand out to be successful and to grow your business.

But really, what you need to do is fascinate. If you are successful at fascination, your business will be the best it can be. Every person and every company is fascinating and interesting in its own way. You don't need to become something or someone else to be fascinating.Being truly fascinating requires you or your business to take a risk - be willing to be exactly who you are but also be willing to see how others see you.

"When your listener [or customer] is in a state of fascination, they' re more likely to buy from you. They're more likely to like you, trust you, believe you, and follow you. They're more likely to post about you in social media. They return to you for more because you're adding intense value through this focus."

- Sally Hogshead, author of How to Fascinate

There are two ways to go about this with business:

You can BS your way through to get customers [lie, make false promises, represent something you're not, not be transparent.]

OR

You can be real and authentic [show your companies true colors, share your story, be relevant and engaging.]

If you want to be the best of the best, you need to be real with your customers. People see through fakeness and are turned off, in which case they will move to one of your competitors. You don't want that now, do you?

"It's a value cycle. When you add value to your audience you fascinate them. When you fascinate them they become intensely focused and you can build a valuable connection. This value cycle leads to loyalty. That’s key in long term relationships."

- Sally Hogshead

There are 4 core things you need to remember when marketing and growing your business:

Who your customers are

Have an idea of who your ideal customers are, also known as a buyer personas. This is important because knowing who your customers are will help you target and market to your audience more efficiently and successfully.

Who you are and what your story is

This part is important because it allows for your customers to feel like you are more than just a business. It allows them to see who you are, what your story is and why they should buy from you.

How to craft your story

The way you package your story for your potential customers matters. Your story will be what eventually captivates and fascinates your customers.

Tell your story

The way you share your story is essential and heavily relies on how successful your message will be. The way you tell your story will depend on if it resonates with your customer.

Live your story

Be authentic. Live out your story. Practice what you preach. If you don't, your customers will notice and leave.

fascination will help grow your business and why it naturally draws people in.
